HIGHLIGHTS..... · Finished the remodeling of our new Developmental Training Center and moved to the new facility September 22, 2008. The Life School also began operation that day. · Held an Open House for the New Developmental Training Center and Life School November 6, 2008. Over 100 people attended. · In March, 2009 opened our 7th group home at 630 Linden Place in DeKalb. · Our three Special Olympics Soccer teams took first place at the State Games in June, 2009. · Hosted a focus group of parents of developmentally disabled adults as part of a county-wide assessment of needs conducted by the DeKalb County Community Mental Health Board. · Our Community Living Facility scored a perfect 100% on their licensing survey in January, 2009. Our Community Integrated Living Arrangement [CILA] and Developmental Training programs scored 99% and 97% respectively on their licensing surveys, with no corrective actions needed. · Maximized the use of our Respite grant allocation and provided In-Home Respite to four additional families in the area. |
